Notes for Installing

Activate the air bleed only if the pump is improperly installed—such as when it causes air locks during spa filling because it’s mounted too high. In this situation, carefully trim the top of the air bleed and attach a 9mm tube that extends above the normal water level.

This will capture any brief water discharge that might occur when the pump starts or when the spa is filled but not in use.

To activate the air bleed, cut the top of the air bleed stem at the indent above the barbed section.   Avoid crushing the stem during cutting, as this could damage the sealing surface and lead to leaks.

Do not cut too low, as the seal is located at the top of the barbed section.
